Independent personal project
A functional rowing ergometer built from timber, repurposed bicycle components, and readily available hardware for under €200.

03 / Independent aircraft build
Designed and built a custom remote-controlled foam board aircraft with a working motor and propeller, plus four functional control surfaces for stable, controllable flight.
Watch aircraft videoMotor & control surfaces · YouTubeThis aircraft integrates a motor-propeller system, ailerons, rudder, and elevator into a lightweight foam board airframe. The build focused on achieving functional flight control, clean component integration, and a straightforward structure that could be assembled and refined by hand.
04 / Kit-based robotics
Assembled and programmed an Adeept robotic arm, configured servo controls, and tested coordinated movement across five degrees of freedom.
My work focused on assembly, servo configuration, and coordinated motion using the kit’s mechanism and electronics. The underlying robot design is Adeept’s.
05 / Kit-based robotics
Assembled an ELEGOO Smart Robot Car Kit V4.0, an Arduino-based educational robot combining a wheeled chassis, electronic modules, sensors, and a camera.
This is a kit-based assembly project using ELEGOO’s design. The manufacturer’s platform includes obstacle-avoidance and line-tracking modules, remote-control options, and supplied example code.

02 / Industry experience
At Xcelsitas AG, I worked from hospital end-user feedback to practical design concepts — looking for low-cost ways to address medical-device and equipment issues without unnecessary complexity.
Product Development & Design Intern
August 2026 – present
Identified design issues affecting clinical workflows through feedback from hospital end-users and documented cable- and equipment-related problems.
Distinguished product and material defects from damage caused by operational wear, then developed low-cost design concepts with part specifications, sketches, and visualizations.
Designed and 3D-printed functional prototypes and presented concepts and recommendations to the OEM supplier for further development.
Internship work is summarized at a high level. Internal device drawings and supplier-specific information are not included here.
03 / Background
I’m a Stanford undergraduate with an intended major in Mechanical Engineering. My projects span mechanical design, prototyping, fabrication, and electromechanical assembly.
I row for Stanford and am a five-time German national champion. I represented Germany at the 2024 World Rowing U19 Championships, winning bronze in the men’s eight.
